Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Yehuda Ben David ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the TabBar website (tabbar.io) and the TabBar for Word and TabBar for Excel applications (together, the "Service").
If you have any questions, please contact us at wordtab.support@bdtech.app / exceltab.support@bdtech.app.
1. Who we are
Yehuda Ben David is a sole proprietor registered in Israel (065954333), with a contact address at Hapisga 5, 9646505 Jerusalem, Israel. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
For European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) users: we have not appointed an EU representative under Article 27 GDPR, because we believe Article 27(2)(a) applies (processing is occasional and does not include large-scale or special-category data). If we are mistaken, please contact us and we will appoint one.
2. Information we collect
On the website
When you visit tabbar.io we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Subject to your cookie consent, Google may collect:
- A truncated IP address (IP anonymisation is enabled)
- Device and browser type, language, screen size
- Pages viewed and approximate referral source
- A randomly generated cookie identifier
We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other directly identifying information through the website itself.
In the applications (TabBar for Word, TabBar for Excel)
The applications run locally on your Mac. They do not transmit your document contents, file names, or document data to us at any time.
When you activate a paid license, the applications connect to Lemon Squeezy's license API and exchange:
- Your license key
- A device identifier (a hash derived from your machine, used to enforce the 3-device limit)
- The email address associated with your purchase
We use this information solely to verify that the license is valid and to enforce the 3-device limit described in our EULA.
Payments
We do not process or store payment information. All purchases are made through Lemon Squeezy Inc., our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, billing information, and applicable tax data directly and processes them under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Lemon Squeezy provides us only with the information needed to issue and validate your license (email address, license key, country code).
Support communications
If you email us at wordtab.support@bdtech.app / exceltab.support@bdtech.app, we will receive the contents of your message, your email address, and any attachments. We use this information solely to respond to your request.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or supplementary safeguards as required by Articles 44–49 GDPR. Lemon Squeezy and Google have published SCCs and additional safeguards in their respective Data Processing Agreements.
7. Cookies
